BioBlitz at Cliff Cave Park! Community Science Event for All Ages!

Be a scientist for a day! Anyone can participate! On Saturday, September 19th, the Missouri Department of Conservation, Great Rivers Greenway, St. Louis County Parks, and community partners invite you to take part in an all-day BioBlitz! Help us record as many species as possible on Saturday, from birds and bugs to plants and pollinators, along the Mississippi Greenway and Cliff Cave Park.

Two Ways to Participate:

Participate your way by collecting data on iNaturalist anytime on your own on September 19th, or by signing up for expert led sessions guided by taxonomic specialists throughout the day. Whether you’re a seasoned naturalist or just curious about nature, your observations will contribute to valuable conservation research.

This event is free and open to the public. This event has options for all ages and experience levels. Come explore, discover, and make a difference!

What to bring: If you are interested in collecting data on your own, please have your phone or tablet ready with the iNaturalist app downloaded and logged in. Be sure to enter it under the Cliff Cave Park BioBlitz 2026 area project. Staff will be able to help guide you if you have any questions on how to enter data.

What to wear: Please dress for the weather. Closed toed shoes are required. Long pants are recommended.
