    Description

    Purpose of the role

    Help Safe Haven Space secure funding so programs can continue and grow. This role focuses on identifying good opportunities, telling the organization’s story clearly, and keeping applications organized and on time.

    Core responsibilities

    • Research foundations, corporations, and government grant opportunities aligned with the mission
    • Write and submit grant applications and supporting narratives
    • Maintain a calendar of deadlines and submission timelines
    • Work with leadership and program staff to gather information, budgets, and program details
    • Track submitted grants and follow-up requirements such as reports or acknowledgments
    • Maintain an organized list of prospects, submissions, and outcomes
    • Help refine how we describe programs and impact for external audiences

    What success looks like

    Applications go out on time, the organization is applying for the right opportunities, and leadership has a clear picture of funding pipelines and next steps.

    Who this is a good fit for

    Someone organized, self-directed, and comfortable writing clearly. Prior grant writing experience is helpful but not required. This role works well for someone who enjoys research, writing with purpose, and helping a mission-driven organization grow.
