Outcome School — Building Pathways. Backing Dreams. Powering Impact.
Outcome School is a free, remote tech and leadership academy serving underserved youth, minorities, and career‑transitioning adults. We equip learners with real skills, real portfolios, and real confidence to enter the modern workforce. Behind every strong grant proposal is a financial story that makes sense — and that’s where you come in.
We are seeking a Finance Analyst who can help us prepare clear, accurate, and compelling financial documents that strengthen our grant applications and organizational credibility.
🌟 Role Overview
The Finance Analyst ensures that every grant proposal is backed by numbers that are realistic, aligned, and mission‑driven. You will support the creation of project budgets, organizational budgets, and financial documents that funders often request — such as 990s, audits, expense projections, and financial summaries.
This is a great role for someone who loves numbers, clarity, and structure — and wants to make a measurable impact on a growing nonprofit.

Budget Development
- Prepare project‑specific budgets for grant proposals
- Support the creation and refinement of the organization‑wide annual budget
- Ensure budgets align with program goals, staffing needs, and realistic cost assumptions
Financial Documentation
- Help compile financial documents commonly required by funders (e.g., 990s, audits, financial statements)
- Create expense projections and cost breakdowns for new or expanding programs
- Maintain organized, up‑to‑date financial files for grant submissions
Grant Support
- Collaborate with the Grant Lead and grant writers to ensure financial sections are accurate and compelling
- Translate program plans into clear financial narratives
- Review proposals for consistency between narrative and budget
Analysis & Reporting
- Analyze spending patterns and provide insights for future budgeting
- Track grant‑related expenses and help prepare simple financial reports for funders
- Identify risks, gaps, or inconsistencies in financial data

- Passionate about education, equity, and community empowerment
- Excited to support a mission‑driven team with high standards
Experience with nonprofit finance, accounting, or grant budgeting is helpful — but not required. We welcome learners who are eager to grow.
