Description
Volunteers will:
- Attend an age-appropriate mental health awareness presentation covering adolescent mental health, stigma, and the role community plays in recovery
- Create watercolor bookmarks with messages of encouragement placed directly inside care kits delivered to teens in treatment
- Assemble sensory bottles: a hands-on mindfulness activity where volunteers create visual focus bottles that go inside care packages as a grounding tool for teens in treatment
- Assemble care packages delivered directly to adolescents in residential mental health facilities
All supplies are fully provided by Kare Kit at no cost. Community service hour certificates provided upon completion. No experience necessary. Open to ages 10-18 only.
