    Description

Together, we can light up lives, build future, and restore hope

HOPe Africa is launching a humanitarian solar reuse initiative to collect certified, overstocked, or gently used solar panels and lithium batteries across the U.S. for reuse in rural communities across developing nations that have lived in darkness for decades.

These donations will restore education access, empower small businesses, and revive local economies through clean, sustainable energy.

We are seeking supporters, donors, logistics partners, and volunteers to join our mission to power hope where light has long been lost.

    Responsibilities

    • Identify and connect with U.S.-based suppliers, installers, and recyclers of solar panels and batteries.
    • Coordinate donations, pickups, and shipments to HOPe Africa’s Kansas City warehouse.
    • Maintain a digital record of donations, inventory, and project beneficiaries.
    • Engage with community partners, faith-based groups, and corporations for sponsorships.
    • Work with local and international media to promote awareness and fundraising campaigns.
    • Ensure safety, proper testing, and repackaging of reusable solar equipment for export.
    • Collaborate with HOPe Africa’s technical team to implement installations abroad.

    Qualifications

    • Strong passion for sustainability, humanitarian aid, and renewable energy.
    • Excellent communication and partnership-building skills.
    • Basic understanding of solar energy systems preferred (training provided).
    • Project coordination or nonprofit experience an advantage.
    • Must be organized, compassionate, and dedicated to ethical environmental practices.
    • Valid driver’s license preferred (for local pickups or coordination).

    Benefits
