Description
The Muslim Women’s Institute for Research and Development is seeking volunteers to support daily operations at the Community Food Pantry @ Highbridge. This is a hands-on opportunity to directly support food access efforts in the Bronx.
Volunteers will assist with a variety of tasks to help keep pantry operations running smoothly and ensure community members receive the food they need.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with food donation pickups
- Receive and organize food deliveries
- Help prepare and pack food for distribution
- Maintain cleanliness by disposing of packaging materials and food waste
Requirements:
- Must be 18 or older
- Comfortable with light lifting and being on your feet
- Reliable and willing to assist with various tasks
This is an in-person opportunity based in the Bronx.
