Media Literacy Now is a developing nonprofit organization that is seeking an individual to serve as Treasurer. The Treasurer is the board officer responsible for overseeing the organization's financial health and ensuring compliance with tax, accounting and other financial requirements. Key duties include overseeing cash flow management, preparing annual budgets and quarterly reports to the board, maintaining accurate records, filing tax reports (e.g., Form 990), and chairing the finance committee of the Board.

It is anticipated that the time commitment will range between 2-4 hours per month on average. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual to contribute to Media Literacy Now’s initiatives, which aim to ensure that kids in grades K-12 have access to quality Media Literacy programs that teach them how to use and consume digital media and advanced AI applications safely, securely and with an awareness of the benefits as well as the associated risks.
