    Description

Fun, Flexible Job for a Book Fairy

Literacy Together (formerly The Literacy Council of Buncombe County) is an Asheville, NC-based non-profit, founded in 1986, providing free, customized, one-on-one and small group tutoring to improve reading, writing, and English language skills for children and adults. We also partner with Dolly's Imagination Library to create personal libraries for children ages 0-5. Currently we have and abundance of new children's books on our shelves that we would like to get out into the community. We're looking for volunteers who would like to pick up a box of books each month (at our office in downtown Asheville), then distribute those books to local Little Free Libraries or child care programs. This is a great opportunity for those who want to volunteer on their own schedule, have their own transportation, and "know the neighborhoods." Come on down, book fairies!
