Description
Help us bring back Creepy Critter Encounters: a free, family-friendly Halloween/night-ecology event that connects the community to the refuge through a fun “spooky, not scary” lens (nocturnal wildlife, insects/arachnids, stories, crafts).
Roles & skills we’re looking for:
You don’t need to be an expert- interest and reliability matter most.
- Event leadership & coordination
- Program & station design
- Volunteer coordination
- Logistics & safety
- Partners & community connections
- Communications & outreach
- Budget & supplies
We will provide training & support
Time commitment
- Planning season: biweekly meetings early, then weekly in the final 3–4 weeks
- Most roles: ~1–3 hours/week
