As part of a grant from the MrBallen Foundation, we host blanket-making events across eight states throughout the year, including this event at our West LA location! We are making blankets to give to children and teens who have been traumatized by violent crimes. Bring your open heart to help us make blankets to give to these kids as a reminder that they are not invisible or forgotten and that they matter! You do not need to be crafty.
Blankets will be made with a no-sew, fleece tie method. We will provide fleece.
PLEASE BRING A PAIR OF SCISSORS!
ALL ages are welcome. Children and teens under 14 need 1 adult for every 4 children. This counts for community service hours through schools, service orgs, and the court system. We are providing lunch. We also need help setting up the day before - hauling items from storage to the event location, and cleaning up after.
If you want to help in other ways or have questions, feel free to contact Mia Hagooli Bolanos, area coordinator, at mia@binkypatrol.org
Once you fill out this form, we will be in touch with more information and the address of the event!
