Pours for a Purpose is a 21+ ticketed fundraising event where vendors generously donate food and beverage products in support of St. Francis Children’s Center. Guests enjoy unlimited samples of wine, beer, chocolate, treats, and more while connecting with community leaders, partners, families, and friends.
2026 Pours for a Purpose – Volunteer Duties
Wayfinder
Facilitate navigation by supporting and guiding attendees throughout the event. Provide clear, friendly directions to different rooms, activities, and stations.
Trash Management
Monitor trash cans throughout the event to ensure they do not overflow. Collect, transport, and properly dispose of trash as needed.
Beverage Pour
Pour sample beverages for guests. Standard sample sizes include:
Registration
Welcome guests at check-in and ensure all attendees receive their event passport. Encourage guests to collect stamps by visiting each room and inform them about the silent auction items located in the Winner’s Circle.
Vendor / Water & Ice Runner
Deliver small bottles of water and ice to beverage vendors as needed throughout the event.
Raffle Ticket Sales
Promote and sell raffle tickets to guests during the event.
Silent Auction Volunteer
Engage with guests, assist them as needed, and answer questions about the silent auction and the online bidding platform.
Food Station Attendant
Ensure food samples are consistently replenished and attractively displayed for attendees to enjoy.
Parking Attendant
Provide guidance and direction to attendees regarding available parking areas.
Wine Pull Volunteer
Encourage guests to purchase wine pull tickets and assist with the wine pull activity.
St. Francis Children's Center is north on Port Washington Rd. next to Ascension, across the street from Aldi Foods.
Volunteers should arrive promptly at St. Francis Children’s Center for their scheduled shift.
Attire may include Kentucky Derby–themed clothing to match the event theme. Otherwise, business casual attire is perfectly acceptable. Please wear comfortable shoes, as the role may require a significant amount of walking and standing throughout the event.
Volunteers may park in the rear lot of the Children’s Center or in Ascension’s parking lot.
