    Description

    Newborns in Need is looking for volunteers to sew, knit or crochet baby gowns, blankets, quilts and other essential baby items for hospitals and other agencies that provide for premature and newborn infants. We currently donate to Birthright of Charleston, Children's Care Clinic of MUSC, Lowcountry Orphan Relief, Lowcountry Pregnancy Center, MUSC - Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Our Lady of Mercy Outreach Center, Roper St. Francis - Berkeley, Roper St. Francis - West Ashley, and Summerville Medical Center. Donations of baby fabric and yarn are much needed. We also accept gently used clothing for preemies and other infants up to size 12 months, as well as maternity clothing in all sizes. We meet on the second Saturday of every month (except July) from 9:30 am to noon at the St. Thomas Episcopal Chruch, 1150 East Montague, North Charleston, SC (near Park Circle).
