    Description

    Camp Creative Arts Instructor

    Role Overview

The Camp Creative Arts Instructor is central to SOTA’s mission, using their artistic gifts to disciple, inspire, and equip youth within a Christ-centered creative environment. This role goes beyond teaching technique. It is about stewarding creativity authentically in a way that reflects God’s character, helping students grow in skill and confidence as they discover their identity in Christ and His heart for them.

Instructors are called to model what it looks like to pursue excellence without losing authenticity, guiding students to develop their talents with purpose, integrity, and faith.

This role is best suited for artists who feel called to invest in the next generation by modeling excellence, integrity, and Christ-centered values through their craft.

Areas Needed (but not limited to):

    • Dance (various)
    • Music (vocal, songwriting)
    • Theatre (acting, improv, spoken word)
    • Visual Arts (painting, drawing, mixed media, sculpting, etc)

    Key Responsibilities

    • Design and lead an engaging, age-appropriate class within your art form
    • Cultivate a safe, encouraging, and Christ-centered learning environment
    • Guide students in stewarding their talents with authenticity, not comparison or performance-driven pressure
    • Teach with excellence while fostering creativity, self-expression, and collaboration
    • Support students across varying skill levels with patience and intentionality
    • Start and end sessions on time in alignment with the program schedule
    • Collaborate with leadership and volunteers to ensure a smooth and organized experience
