    Description

Beale Horton Health (BHH) is on a mission to end the 2 million preventable child deaths caused each year by donor funding collapse—the #1 killer of children globally, surpassing HIV/AIDS, malaria, and tuberculosis combined. BHH delivers a world-class school-based health model that uses behavioral science, sustainable incentives, and smart technology to keep children healthy even after donor programs end. As the scaling arm of Cocoa360, and rooted in 10 years of its research in Ghana, BHH’s model has reached 35,000 families, and by 2027, aims to protect 5 million African children everyday.

    Position Overview

Are you passionate about storytelling, global health, and digital communications? Beale Horton is seeking a creative, motivated Communications Fellow to help amplify our message and grow our online presence as we scale a groundbreaking, African-led health model across the continent.

This is an opportunity to use your creativity to support a mission that saves children’s lives, ensuring that when donor funding stops, children’s health doesn’t.

    Responsibilities

    • Create compelling content for Instagram, LinkedIn, X/Twitter, and Facebook.
    • Develop story-driven posts that highlight BHH’s mission, community impact, innovations, and milestones.
    • Help shape a social media strategy that increases engagement and awareness.
    • Monitor comments and community engagement across platforms.
    • Draft short-form video scripts, graphics, or reels.
    • Assist with monthly analytics reports and content calendars.

    Desired Qualifications

    • Strong writing and digital communication skills.
    • Experience with social media content creation or management.
    • Interest in global health, Africa-focused innovation, education, or public policy.
    • Ability to work independently and bring creative ideas to the table.
    • Graphic design, video editing, or Canva experience a plus.

    What You’ll Gain

    • Portfolio-ready content for a globally scaling organization.
    • Experience shaping the public voice of a health innovation movement.
    • Opportunities for expanded responsibility (campaign management, storytelling, digital strategy).
