    Description

    About the Opportunity

Are you organized, detail-oriented, and interested in helping others succeed? Join Fairfax-Falls Church Community Services Board (CSB) as a volunteer supporting Business Operations with the NextGen Electronic Health Record (EHR) rollout.

Staff across 10 clinic locations need clear, easy-to-follow reference materials to support their daily workflows. We are looking for a dependable volunteer or intern to help develop, organize, and distribute these resources so staff can quickly find the information they need.

This is a great opportunity to contribute to an important organizational initiative while gaining experience in documentation, administrative support, and project coordination. No clinical or electronic health record experience is required; guidance and training will be provided.

    What You’ll Do

    • Create step-by-step guides: Review NextGen training videos and workflow demonstrations and turn them into clear, easy-to-follow desk aids
    • Organize information: Take notes during meetings, trainings, and walkthroughs and develop concise, well-organized summaries
    • Prepare printed materials: Print desk aids, quick-reference guides, and manuals for staff use
    • Assemble site binders: Build, label, and organize standardized paper binders to ensure all 10 clinic locations have consistent reference materials
    • Organize electronic resources: Create matching electronic binders using organized folders and PDFs so staff can easily access resources across locations
    • Track project progress: Maintain a simple tracking system to monitor completed materials and deliveries to each site

    Skills & Qualifications

We’re looking for someone who has:

    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
    • Clear, concise written communication skills
    • Basic computer skills, including saving files, organizing folders, printing documents, working with PDFs, and simple document formatting
    • The ability to watch instructional videos and translate information into logical, easy-to-follow steps
    • Reliability and the ability to work independently while following established guidance

    Interested in Getting Involved?

If you enjoy organizing information, creating helpful resources, and supporting a team behind the scenes, we would love to hear from you. Join us in helping our staff feel prepared, informed, and supported as we continue implementing NextGen across our clinics.
