    Description

Interact with park visitors providing information about the park and surrounding area. Sell interpretive books, posters, cards, and other nature related items to park visitors. Funds raised are used to support the many volunteer programs and the important work done in the parks Stewards of the Coast and Redwoods supports.

Some local natural history knowledge and retail experience a plus!

As a volunteer, you will help promote, restore, and protect the natural and cultural resources of Russian River Area State Parks through interpretation, public stewardship, education programming, community science, and through connecting visitors to their parks! In addition to serving in beautiful Western Sonoma County, volunteers also receive:

    • An annual free Day Use Pass for all State Parks in the Sonoma-Mendocino Coast District for volunteering 40 hours or more per year.
    • A t-shirt or sweatshirt of your choice of color with a Stewards volunteer logo on it for volunteering 75 hours or more per year.
    • An annual free Day Use Pass for all California State Parks for volunteering 200 hours or more per year.
    • Discounted membership to Bay Nature magazine

Due to our partnership with California State Parks, Stewards is proud to be able to offer these benefits to our volunteers.
