Paw Friends & Care - Volunteer with Uplift!

As a Pet Therapy Assistant, you will support our pet therapy program by helping provide emotional comfort and companionship to our patients. You will bring in your trained therapy animals to foster a calming and uplifting environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in guiding therapy animals during visits with patients.
• Provide support and reassurance to patients during interactions.
• Help maintain a safe and comfortable environment for both patients and animals.
• Engage with patients in a compassionate and empathetic manner.

Qualifications:

• A genuine love for animals and people.
• Patience and empathy when interacting with patients.
• Ability to follow guidelines and support the therapy animal’s needs.
• Prior experience with animals or in a healthcare setting is a plus, but not required.
