Administrative Hospice Volunteers NEEDED!- South Portland Area

    Volunteers Make a Difference!!

If you have a passion for caring for others and are looking for a way to make a difference in people's lives, consider becoming a hospice volunteer. Our volunteers are an important part of our hospice care team, helping to improve the quality of life for our patients, their families and their caregivers.

The Hospice (HSP) Administrative Volunteer provides support to Care Center staff through assistance with day-to-day office responsibilities. This may include things such as answering telephones, filing, making copies, data entry and scanning/ uploading documents into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR). S/hemay assist with compiling and mailing bereavement letters, sympathy cards and/ or assist in the planning for the annual Memorial Service (Celebration of Life). S/he might also assist with making Tuck-In calls to patients, families and caregivers to ensure that they have the necessary supplies and medications prior to the weekend.
