    The Grandparents Community Network (TGCN) AND GRANGEL MEDIA

    Do you enjoy talking with people, telling stories, attending community events, and being the voice that helps others feel seen and heard?

    TGCN Radio is seeking an energetic, outgoing, and community-minded On-Air Community Correspondent & Radio Personality to help us share the stories, voices, resources, and impact of grandparents and kinship families across America.

    This is not a sit-behind-a-desk role ALL DAY ROLE

    We are looking for someone who enjoys being in the community, meeting people, asking meaningful questions, attending events, conducting interviews, and helping create engaging radio content that informs, inspires, and connects families to resources.

    What You'll Do

    • Conduct live and recorded interviews
    • Attend community events, conferences, and outreach activities
    • Interview grandparents, caregivers, community leaders, and partners
    • Record audio and video content in the field
    • Create human-interest stories and feature segments
    • Assist with TGCN Radio programming and content development
    • Help identify stories that deserve greater visibility
    • Collaborate with the TGCN Media Team
    • Support podcast and internet radio broadcasts
    • Represent TGCN professionally within the community

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience in radio, podcasting, broadcasting, journalism, media, communications, public relations, or related fields
    • Knowledge of internet radio platforms and podcasting tools
    • Comfortable conducting interviews and speaking with people from diverse backgrounds
    • Ability to record quality audio and video using smartphones, microphones, or recording equipment
    • Strong communication and storytelling skills
    • Social media experience is a plus
    • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
    • Reliable transportation for community events preferred

    Volunteer Commitment

    • Minimum 5-10 volunteer hours per month
    • Flexible scheduling
    • Some evening and weekend events may be required
    • Opportunity for future paid opportunities as TGCN grows
