    Summer Workshop The Create It Series!

    Volunteer Opportunity: Summer Workshop Volunteer – Future Creators & Innovators at Boston Public Library

    Future Creators & Innovators (FCI) is seeking enthusiastic and dependable volunteers to support our Summer Workshop Series at the Boston Public Library Teen Center. This program provides youth with hands-on opportunities to explore creativity, leadership, media, entrepreneurship, and career pathways through engaging workshops and interactive activities.

    Volunteers will play an important role in creating a welcoming, supportive, and inspiring environment for participants while assisting program staff and workshop facilitators.

    Responsibilities:

    • Assist with workshop setup, registration, and participant check-in
    • Support youth during hands-on activities and projects
    • Help facilitate small group discussions and activities
    • Assist guest speakers and workshop facilitators as needed
    • Capture photos and videos (for volunteers interested in media support)
    • Help distribute materials and maintain organized learning spaces
    • Encourage youth participation and engagement
    • Assist with program breakdown and cleanup

    Workshop Dates:

    • August 4, 2026
    • August 6, 2026
    • August 10, 2026
    • August 11, 2026
    • August 13, 2026

    Time: 12:30 PM – 3:00 PM (includes setup and cleanup)

    Qualifications:

    • Passion for youth development and community engagement
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Reliable, positive, and professional attitude
    • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups of youth and adults
    • Experience in education, media, arts, entrepreneurship, leadership development, or related fields is helpful but not required
    • College students, professionals, retirees, and community members are encouraged to apply

    Time Commitment:

    Volunteers may serve for a single workshop or multiple sessions throughout the summer based on availability.
