Volunteer Opportunity: Companion & Confidence-Building Visitor

Location: Clackamas, OR 97015

Setting: Memory Care Community

Do you enjoy building meaningful connections and encouraging others to stay engaged in life? We are seeking a compassionate female volunteer to provide companionship and support to an older adult who would benefit from gentle encouragement and social interaction.

Volunteer Activities May Include:

• Friendly one-on-one visits and conversation
• Accompanying the participant on walks within the community
• Visiting outdoor spaces together
• Encouraging participation in community activities
• Attending activities alongside the participant for support
• Sharing conversations about sports, skiing, softball, and the outdoors

Volunteer Qualifications:

• Female volunteer preferred
• Patient, encouraging, and dependable
• Comfortable working with older adults
• Ability to build trust and provide gentle emotional support

About the Participant: This participant enjoys sports, skiing, softball, and spending time outdoors. She is friendly, sharp, and enjoys interacting with others but can experience anxiety about new situations. A volunteer who can provide encouragement, companionship, and support in exploring activities outside her room could have a meaningful impact on her confidence and quality of life.

Commitment: Flexible scheduling based on volunteer availability.
