Community Engagement Committee- Walk to End Alz. Harford/Cecil

Are you an engaged and involved member of the Harford or Cecil County Community? Do you want to help grow the impact of the Alzheimer's Association and the Walk to End Alzheimer's on October 3rd? Then we need you! Join your local Walk to End Alzheimer's Planning Committee as a member of our Community Engagement team and help grow the movement to end Alzheimer's from the ground up.

We are looking for community members to spread the word about the Walk to End Alzheimer's in YOUR community! Help by attending local tabling events, posting fliers in local community hubs, and more. This role also will help in team retention and coaching by making calls, sending emails, and building relationships with current and past team captains. No cold calling! This role is an integral part of the Walk to End Alzheimer's Committee as our communities are the heart of our event.

You will receive resources and participate in an orientation to receive training on the basics of Alzheimer's disease, learn about Association programs and services, and receive an introduction to the Walk event model.

Committee meetings will generally held monthly for 30 mins and are held virtually. Independent assignments can be done on your schedule.

Walk Planning Committee members are also expected to start or join a Walk to End Alzheimer’s team to raise awareness and funds. Together, we can create a memorable and moving event experience for participants.

A connection to the cause is amazing, but is not required to join our committee!
