This weeklong, flagship event in Summerton, SC at Camp Bob Cooper, is for children diagnosed with cancer and their siblings, ages 5-16. This powerful, life-changing experience helps children build self-esteem, courage, confidence, and trust in an incredibly active, high-energy environment designed just for them. Camp us always held over the week of 4th of July. Volunteers are required to attend the full week of camp.
Volunteers must be at least 19 years of age or older to participate in Camp Happy Days Programs.
Roles at camp include Cabin Counselors or Program Area Activity Assist. Camper age breakdown is girls or boys 5-6, 7-9, 10-12, 13-16 years of age.
Responsibilities of Cabin Counselors include looking after campers 24/7 from bunking in a cabin with them to traveling each day to your scheduled activity area along with your 1-2 other co-counselors.
Responsibilities of a Program Area Assist includes assisting the lead with prepping for a group of campers (set up, clean up, etc.), helping kids during the activity. Keeping the energy high and them entertained.
Parking is located on the right side (grassy area) upon dead end entry into camp.
