    Description

    Organizing Revival Fellowship

    Hosted by the People’s Justice Project (PJP), the Organizing Revival Fellowship aims to build a more powerful and cohesive movement in Ohio by working with a cohort of individuals, directly impacted and partner organizations to strengthen their work in civic engagement, political education, community building, and invest in their organizational development.

    • Format: Mixture of in-person study sessions, convenings, and events with remote check-ins
    • Duration: June 2026 – December 2026
    • Cohort: Up to 10-15 individuals, some of whom will be a part of partner organizations

    Civic Engagement and Political Education

    (June 2026 – December 2026)

    This session focuses on civic engagement activities, political education, and community building.

      • Canvassing/Tabling training
      • Voter Registration training
      • Discussion of coordinated evenings & activities

    • Voter Registration Events
      • Juneteenth on the Ave - June 20
      • ComFest - June 26-28
      • National Voter Registration Day - September 22
      • Hot Times Festival - early Sept
      • Columbus African Festival - Late May
      • GOTV Push Week - October 28 through November 3
      • Other events TBD by the cohort
    • Take Black the Vote - August
      • Voter education event
      • Goal: 100 people
    • In-person Black AF Study Group - Biweekly starting early June
      • 8-session training series examining capitalism, slavery, colonialism, imperialism, authoritarianism, and the state.
    • Culture of Collaboration and Relationship Building Workshops/Events - TBD
      • Focusing on community connection.
    • Remote Check-in Meetings - Bi-monthly for 1 hour
      • One-on-one coordination/planning meeting between each person or organization and a PJP staff member
      • To provide support with their planned activities and turnout for the "Take Back the Vote" event.
    • Wrap-up & Celebration - November/December 2026
      • In-person debrief and feedback
      • CELEBRATE!

    Expectations for Fellows

    • Attend at least 80% of planned activities and trainings, including Black AF Study Group
    • Promote turnout to the "Take Black the Vote" event.
    • Engage in outreach and voter registration efforts in your own community.
    • Register at least 100 Franklin County residents to vote before the October 2026 deadline
