About GiGi's Playhouse

Founded in 2003, GiGi's Playhouse is on a mission to increase positive awareness of Down syndrome through educational programs, community outreach, and empowerment of individuals with Down syndrome and their families. All of our programs are completely free and are designed to support the development of speech and language, social skills, fine and gross motor skills, confidence, and independence.

Position Overview

As the Volunteer Liaison, you will be one of the first friendly faces prospective volunteers encounter. You'll help guide new volunteers through the onboarding process, answer questions, and ensure they feel welcomed, informed, and excited to become part of our Playhouse family.

This flexible volunteer role can be completed remotely and requires approximately 2-3 hours per week.

What You'll Do

💙 Welcome and respond to volunteer inquiries via email and phone in a timely, friendly, and professional manner.

💙 Manage and monitor the Playhouse volunteer email account.

💙 Guide prospective volunteers through the onboarding process and help them find opportunities that match their interests and availability.

💙 Collaborate closely with the Program & Volunteer Manager and Playhouse leadership to ensure a smooth volunteer experience.

💙 Represent GiGi's Playhouse at local volunteer fairs, community outreach events, and recruitment opportunities.

💙 Help plan and coordinate volunteer appreciation and recognition events at least twice per year.

💙 Support the growth of our volunteer community by creating a positive and engaging experience for every volunteer.
