Volunteer Engagement & Recruitment Lead

Golden Experiences is seeking a proactive, people-centered Volunteer Engagement & Recruitment Lead to support the growth, engagement, and retention of our volunteer community - fondly known as Golden Experiences Ambassadors (GEAs).

This leadership volunteer role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, creating welcoming experiences, and inspiring others to stay connected to a meaningful mission.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead volunteer recruitment efforts across platforms and networks
• Serve as a primary point of contact for new and existing GEAs
• Support onboarding, orientation, and ongoing engagement of volunteers
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and mission-aligned volunteer culture
• Track volunteer participation, engagement, and retention
• Collaborate with program and leadership teams to align volunteer roles with organizational needs
• Help recognize, motivate, and retain volunteers through communication and appreciation efforts

Who We’re Looking For

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience or interest in volunteer coordination, community building, HR, or nonprofit leadership
• Highly organized, proactive, and people-focused
• Passion for community service, empowerment, and health equity
• Comfortable leading and engaging volunteers in a remote environment
• Ability to commit a few hours monthly and take ownership of the role
• Prior leadership or volunteer management experience is a plus, but not required
