    Position Overview

Al-Ihsan Canadian Islamic University is seeking an elite, highly credentialed Peer Review Scholar rooted firmly in the orthodox tradition of Ahl al-Sunnah wa’l-Jamā‘ah. This prestigious, volunteer role is designed for a dedicated academic who wishes to safeguard and elevate the integrity of Islamic scholarship published under the university’s banner.

The successful scholar will serve as a critical guardian of textual accuracy, ensuring all monthly institutional newsletters, research papers, and upcoming book publications meet rigorous academic standards and align perfectly with Sunni methodology before public release.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Monthly Newsletter Review: Conduct a thorough review of the official Al-Ihsan Canadian Islamic University monthly newsletter, verifying references, contextual accuracy, and legal (Fiqh) precision.
    • Monograph & Book Peer Review: Critically evaluate manuscript submissions and upcoming book publications for Al-Ihsan Canadian Islamic University Publications to validate source citations, structural integrity, and ideological soundness prior to printing.
    • Academic Co-Authorship: Collaborate actively with faculty members to co-author institutional textbooks, specialized research treatises, and scholarly books.

    Required Qualifications

    • Academic Credentials: Must hold a Ph.D. in Islamic Studies (or a closely related classical field) from an accredited, recognized university.
    • Methodological Alignment: Deep, verifiable grounding in the classical sciences of Ahl al-Sunnah wa’l-Jamā‘ah (Creed, Jurisprudence, and Hadith sciences).
    • Research Track Record: Prior experience in academic publishing, peer-review pipelines, or editorial board operations.
    • Language Proficiency: Advanced academic literacy in classical Arabic and professional English.
