    US based Grant Writer/Manager

    Organization: Deeper Roots Foundation

Program Partner: Rhino Regiment and Soldiers on Safari

Role Type: Volunteer (Remote / Flexible)

Time Commitment: 10+ hours per month

    ROLE OVERVIEW

Deeper Roots Foundation seeks a mission-driven volunteer Grant Writer & Donation Writer to support mental health healing and wildlife conservation. This role blends veteran trauma recovery, faith-based healing, and frontline anti-poaching conservation.

    WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS

Private wildlife sanctuaries face extreme threats, including illegal poaching, organized crime, and illegal mining. At the same time, veterans and first responders struggle with PTSD, isolation, and loss of purpose. Deeper Roots Foundation addresses both crises by protecting wildlife and restoring lives through nature-based healing.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Research and write grants supporting mental health, veterans, wildlife conservation, and faith-based programs
    • Draft donation appeals, stewardship letters, and fundraising campaigns
    • Develop impact narratives and storytelling for donors and foundations
    • Translate field operations into measurable outcomes

    WHAT YOU’LL BE WRITING ABOUT

    • Veterans finding peace and healing through nature
    • Rhinos and elephants protected through anti-poaching intelligence
    • Conservation safeguarding future generations
    • Faith, service, and restoration intersect

    IDEAL VOLUNTEER PROFILE

    • Passion for mission-driven storytelling
    • Interest or experience in grant writing or nonprofit fundraising
    • Deep care for mental health, conservation, and service communities
    • Values integrity, compassion, and purpose

    WHAT YOU’LL GAIN

    • Meaningful impact on lives and wildlife
    • Portfolio-quality writing experience
    • Direct connection to conservation and healing missions
