Large Community Holiday Outreach - 12/12

Our Outreaches bring families, volunteers, and church members together to serve our neighbors in the Tenderloin. At each one, you can choose how to serve: prepare meals, deliver them to nearby apartment buildings, serve at our Hospitality Hub, or host a Kids Party for the children of the Tenderloin.

Holiday Outreach Dates

• Farrington Outreach: Saturday, November 14th
• Thanksgiving Outreach: Thursday, November 26th
• Pre-Christmas Outreach: Saturday, December 12th
• Christmas Outreach: Friday, December 25th

Ways to Serve

Blessing Boutique: Welcome and assist the women of the Tenderloin as they shop for clothing, creating a warm, inviting space where they feel valued and cared for.

Cantonese Service: Serve our Cantonese-speaking community by helping host a church service, then handing out meals and connecting through meaningful conversations.

Commercial Kitchen: Support our head chef by chopping, prepping, cooking, and keeping the kitchen clean.

Kids Outreach: Help families enjoy art and music activities by leading a booth or game, greeting kids, or assisting families on our provision floor as they choose brand new clothes, toys, and more.

Media Team: Experienced in photography or videography? We’d love to hear from you! Email events@sfcityimpact.com.

Meal Delivery: Join a team led by an experienced guide to bring hot meals door to door in nearby buildings and connect with residents. (Volunteers must be 16 or older.)

Meal Prep: Join our assembly line to prepare, assemble, and pack thousands of hot meals for delivery. A great way for young children to serve their community, too!

Security Team: Safety is a top priority at SFCI. Help monitor crowds, entrances, and exits so every outreach site stays welcoming and secure.

Sit-Down Service: Help host guests at a special service where residents enjoy a meal, hear the Good News, and leave with hygiene kits and other practical resources.

Street Ministry: Walk the Tenderloin with a team leader, handing out flyers, having meaningful conversations, and praying with residents.

Serve Where Needed: Not sure where to start? We’ll place you where volunteers are needed most.

Our outreaches are rooted in our Christian faith and our love for our neighbors. Whether or not you share that faith, you’re welcome here, and we’d love to have you serve alongside us.
