The Guadalupe River Park Conservancy provides community leadership for the development and active use of the Guadalupe River Park & Gardens through education, advocacy and stewardship. As part of our stewardship, we are looking for Volunteer Garden Supervisors to direct the activities of volunteers working "in the field" on our heritage rose garden workdays, greeting new volunteers, ensuring that tools are available, providing instruction, and allocating tasks to further the growth and maintenance of the garden.
We are seeking two volunteers with rose gardening knowledge and experience to help us on Saturday mornings for a couple hours with managing a portion of a workday group (15-30 people) as well as assist with returning equipment to their proper place at the visitor center. If you genuinely enjoy working with others, teaching people from all walks of life, and working outdoors with roses, then you might be the kind of person we are looking for! Even better if you have knowledge of horticulture, gardening, landscaping, or similar activities, though not necessarily required; We will teach you how to do all of these tasks!
Minimum age of 18 years old is required.
Ideal volunteers will be able to commit to on long term schedule.
