Description
Richard A. Tucker Memorial Library is hosting a special event in honor of Juneteenth, a city and federal holiday commemorating the end of Slavery in America.
There are 3 shifts that we are looking to recruit volunteers for:
June 20th - 7:30 a.m. -12p.m.
- Setting up remaining materials, including materials that could not be set-up the previous day
- Greeting and answering patron questions
- Supply Running
- Assisting with Activities
- Assisting with packaged Foodstuffs
June 20th - 11 a.m. - 6 p.m.
- Greeting and answering patron questions
- Supply Running
- Assisting with Activities
- Breaking Down the Event materials
June 20th - 7:30 - 6 p.m.
- An All-Day Shift that could encompass any of the above tasks
This event will require frequent standing and walking. In addition, all volunteers over the age of 18 will be required to complete a background check with the City of Norfolk, at no cost to the volunteer.
