    Description

Central CT Walk to End Alzheimer's - Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers Needed for the Central CT Walk to End Alzheimer's on Saturday, October 17, 2026 at Rockwell Park (Bristol, CT)!

Each year, more than 800 Central Connecticut community members come together for the Walk to End Alzheimer’s—a meaningful day of hope, remembrance, and connection. The event includes our signature Promise Garden Ceremony, followed by a 1.5 mile Walk, and opportunities to learn about local care, support, and educational resources.

We are seeking walk‑day volunteers to assist with registration, route support, set‑up and breakdown, and participant engagement. Volunteers are essential to creating a welcoming, impactful experience. Join us and help make a difference in the fight to end Alzheimer’s.

    Volunteer Roles Needed:

    • Event Set Up (6:30am - 8:30am): Help to prepare event site by unloading truck and setting up tables, chairs, pop-up tents, etc.
    • Signage (6:30am - 8:30am): Distribute directional signage throughout event site and Walk route.
    • Welcome Tent (8am - 12pm): Welcome participants, assist with registration, & collect donations.
    • Photographers (8:30am - 12pm): Capture posed & candid shots throughout the event.
    • Champions Tent (8:30am - 12pm): Oversee the exclusive Champions Tent for top fundraisers and keep area well-stocked.
    • Parking (8:30am - 12pm): Manage event traffic, direct participants to available parking and Walk site.
    • Start & Finish Line Cheer Brigade (10am - 12pm): Cheer on Walkers and keep energy high throughout the Walk route!
    • Breakdown (11am - 1pm): Help to break down Walk site - chairs, tents, tables, and reload truck.
