    Description

    The Research and Statistical Data Manager is responsible for collecting, organizing, analyzing, and reporting data to support the mission and programs of the nonprofit organization. This role ensures that accurate data and research findings inform strategic decisions, program improvements, grant reporting, and community impact measurement.

    The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience with data management systems, and the ability to translate complex statistical information into clear reports for leadership, stakeholders, and funders.

    Responsibilities:

    Data Collection & Management

    • Design and manage systems for collecting program and research data.
    • Maintain databases and ensure data accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality.
    • Develop data collection tools such as surveys, forms, and tracking systems.
    • Organize and manage large datasets related to program outcomes and community impact.

    Statistical Analysis

    • Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to identify trends and program outcomes.
    • Use statistical methods to evaluate program effectiveness.
    • Develop dashboards, charts, and visual reports to communicate findings.
    • Provide data-driven insights to leadership and program teams.

    Research

    • Conduct community, demographic, and program-related research.
    • Identify relevant statistics that support grant applications and program development.
    • Compile data from public sources, government databases, and research publications.

    Reporting & Evaluation

    • Prepare reports for internal leadership, board members, and funding agencies.
    • Track program metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs).
    • Assist with grant reporting requirements and impact measurement.
    • Support program evaluation and strategic planning initiatives.

    Data Compliance & Security

    • Ensure compliance with data privacy laws and ethical research standards.
    • Develop policies for data storage, management, and protection.
    • Train staff on proper data collection and reporting practices.

    Qualifications:

    Education

    Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Data Science, Research Methods, Social Sciences, Public Health, or a related field required or Master's Degree

    Experience

    • 3+ years of experience in data analysis, research, or statistical reporting.
    • Experience working with nonprofit, community programs, or social impact organizations preferred.

    Skills

    • Proficiency with data analysis tools such as Excel, SPSS, R, Python, or Tableau.
    • Strong database management and data visualization skills.
    • Ability to translate complex data into clear reports and presentations.
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience with grant reporting and program evaluation.
    • Knowledge of community impact measurement and nonprofit metrics.
    • Familiarity with CRM or nonprofit database systems.
