    Description

    Volunteers for Gentiva Hospice

    Are you ready to offer a listening ear, write letters, or help out in the hospice office? Do you enjoy music, sharing stories, or playing cards? Whatever talents, passions, or interests you have can be valuable assets as a hospice volunteer. At Gentiva Hospice, you will have the freedom to choose how much and what type of tasks you want to take on. Some examples of typical volunteer duties include:

    • Listening to a patient's concerns
    • Providing comfort and support
    • Engaging in the patient's hobbies, such as playing board games or discussing current events
    • Recording memories for the patient or assisting with correspondence
    • Light housekeeping if needed
    • Allowing caregivers some time for self-care
    • Assisting in the office
