    Description

    Association House of Chicago is seeking reliable and community-minded volunteers to support our weekly Food Pantry operations. Volunteers play an essential role in helping us receive food donations, prepare emergency food bags, and ensure that our participants are able to access the food they need in a timely and respectful manner.

    Volunteer responsibilities include:

    • Receiving and organizing incoming food donations as they arrive
    • Reviewing donated items and assembling emergency food bags based on submitted program requests
    • Communicating with designated staff/participants to coordinate food pick-up
    • Maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming pantry space
    • Ensuring donation and work tables remain clean and orderly throughout the shift

    This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, supporting families, and being part of a collaborative team.
