    Volunteering with CMMB offers a unique opportunity to contribute to initiatives that generate significant social impact in Peru. Volunteers will develop valuable professional skills in partnership building, strategic outreach, media relations, and advocacy planning in Peru. They will also gain hands-on experience in the nonprofit sector and strengthen their communication, leadership, and community engagement skills.

    Program Description

    CMMB – Healthier Lives Worldwide is an international, faith-based NGO dedicated to improving access to healthcare for underserved communities affected by poverty and inequality. For over a century, the organization has worked to strengthen health systems through long-term development programs, the distribution of medicines and medical supplies, and the placement of skilled volunteers in resource-limited settings.

    Position Summary

    Volunteering with CMMB's Promotion Program offers the opportunity to support the promotion and visibility of the organization's programs in Peru. This position allows for remote work, making it ideal for students and recent graduates. The volunteer will help coordinate outreach activities, build relationships with universities and private companies, organize promotional events, and support communication initiatives to increase awareness of CMMB's programs in Peru. We are seeking individuals with a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, a willingness to learn, and a strong commitment to CMMB's mission.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement a promotion plan for a documentary created by CMMB Peru which aims to raise awareness of the local organization's programs
    • Coordinate and distribute promotional and graphic materials for outreach campaigns and events.
    • Organize and support film screenings, presentations, and educational sessions at universities, private companies, cultural centers, and community spaces.
    • Coordinate community screenings and engagement activities to promote program attendance.
    • Assist in developing and executing press and media strategies to enhance program visibility.
    • Support social media campaigns by creating, scheduling, and sharing content on digital platforms.
    • Collaborate with universities, companies, and community organizations to establish partnerships and expand outreach initiatives.
    • Assist with event planning, logistics, registration, and attendee engagement.
    • Maintain communication with stakeholders and partners to ensure the successful promotion of programs and activities.
    • Track promotional activities and provide reports on outreach initiatives and community engagement
    • Support the development of awareness campaigns aligned with the mission and objectives of the various programs.

    Qualifications & Skill Requirements

    • Minimum 6 months or 1 year of experience program in Communications, PR or Film.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills in Spanish and English.
    • Ability to build and maintain relationships with universities, private corporations, cultural centers, and community organizations.
    • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple activities and events.
    • Familiarity with social media platforms and digital communication tools.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace.
    • Previous volunteer, outreach, communications, or marketing experience is preferred but not required.
    • Passion for social impact and community service
