    LandSeed is a non-profit organization tackling the Canadian housing crisis with a unique, data-powered approach. We bridge critical gaps in the housing ecosystem by integrating deep community market data with advanced AI systems. Our focus is on crowdsourcing and identifying obstacles to attainable affordable housing, allowing us to deliver structured, scalable solutions where they are needed most.

    Job Summary

    The Social Content Manager is responsible for developing and managing LandSeed’s social media presence to communicate the organization’s work, mission, and impact. This role focuses on creating engaging digital content, managing social platforms, and building an online community around housing, community development, and applied technology initiatives. The Social Content Manager ensures that LandSeed’s voice is clear, consistent, and compelling across all social channels.

    Key Responsibilities

    Social Media Content Creation

    • Create and publish engaging content for social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, etc.)
    • Develop posts that highlight LandSeed’s projects, insights, and impact
    • Translate complex ideas into clear, accessible, and engaging social media content

    Content Planning & Strategy

    • Develop and maintain a social media content calendar
    • Align social content with LandSeed’s mission, priorities, and initiatives
    • Identify opportunities to highlight stories, milestones, and partnerships

    Community Engagement

    • Monitor comments, messages, and interactions on social platforms
    • Engage with followers, partners, and stakeholders to build an active online community
    • Support the growth of LandSeed’s audience and digital visibility

    Collaboration & Alignment

    • Work with leadership and internal contributors to gather content ideas and updates
    • Ensure messaging across social media reflects LandSeed’s values and initiatives
    • Support the promotion of key announcements, reports, and events

    Required skills and qualifications

    Education

    • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Public Relations, or a

    related field, or equivalent professional experience

    Technical Background / Experience

    • Experience managing social media accounts for organizations, brands, or initiatives
    • Experience with Meta Ads Manager is a nice-to-have
    • Strong writing and storytelling skills for digital audiences
    • Familiarity with social media platforms and content tools (e.g., scheduling platforms,

    basic design tools such as Canva)

    • Ability to translate complex topics into engaging social media content
    • Interest in mission-driven work, community development, or innovation
