    Description

    Administrative & Operations Coordinator

Help keep the work behind Brady's mission running smoothly.

Founded in 1987, James S. Brady Therapeutic Riding is a San Francisco nonprofit that helps children and young people build strength, confidence, and connection through the healing power of horses. Since 2019, Brady has operated on the grounds of San Francisco Zoo & Gardens.

As Brady's programs and community partnerships have grown, so has the coordination required behind the scenes. We're looking for a dependable, organized Volunteer Administrative & Operations Coordinator to help manage day-to-day administrative needs while improving the systems that keep our small organization running.

This is a good fit for someone who enjoys creating order, developing practical processes, and making sure important details don't fall through the cracks.

    What You'll Do

    • Help respond to and route new rider, volunteer, donor, and general inquiries.
    • Coordinate donor acknowledgments and thank-you communications.
    • Maintain accurate information in Salesforce, spreadsheets, and other systems.
    • Assist with light scheduling and coordination.
    • Organize digital files, forms, templates, and administrative resources.
    • Track outstanding requests and follow-ups.
    • Document recurring processes so they're easy for others to follow.
    • Identify opportunities to simplify and improve administrative workflows.

You Might Be a Great Fit If You...

    • Are highly organized, dependable, and attentive to detail.
    • Enjoy improving systems and processes.
    • Communicate clearly and warmly.
    • Are comfortable using common digital tools and learning new ones.
    • Can handle sensitive information appropriately.
    • Work well independently while staying connected with a small team.
    • Tend to notice what needs to be done and follow through.

Experience with Salesforce or nonprofit administration is helpful but not required.

    Schedule & Commitment

This is an ongoing, flexible volunteer role that can be performed primarily remotely, with occasional visits to the Brady Barn as helpful.

    What You'll Gain

You'll gain hands-on experience in nonprofit operations while helping create systems that make Brady more efficient and sustainable.

This could be a strong opportunity for someone building experience in nonprofit administration or operations—or an experienced professional or retiree who enjoys organization, problem-solving, and supporting a meaningful mission.

    Instructions:

Please provide your resume (or LinkedIn profile link) or description of your pertinent background, the best times to contact you, and where you are located. While this role can be done remotely, we will favor those who are local as it's always best to be able to visit the Brady Barn (located on SF Zoo grounds) on occasion to see how manual processes are performed and how they might be improved. It's also a chance to soak in the energy and see first-hand how the program benefits our community.
