    Description

    Remote Journalism Mentorship

This placement exists in two parts which can be accessed independently or together. The first part is a remote placement during which an individual looking to launch or enhance a career in Environmental Journalism will be mentored at distance on stories in their local area or in Latin America, developing, writing and submitting these for publication whilst overseen by a team of experienced journalists including Times Radio’s Latin America Correspondent. The second potential part of the placement is for live participation in a variety of possible USA and Latin American contexts - again directly mentored by experienced journalists - in which the individual will be on the ground in the USA/Latin America (a number of placements available) researching and devising stories, in addition to developing, writing and submitting for publication. In both cases candidates will emerge with high quality portfolios of published work as well as experience directly relevant to pursuing freelance work or a career in Environmental Journalism.
