A a volunteer gardener, you'd support Lifeline Community Services after school program. Club Crown Heights at La Casita is set up as an early intervention program for at-risk youth and provide services for (on average) 60 children ages 6 to 12 on a daily basis. The site allows for a safe space for children to go to when released from school. The garden is used as an educational tool to help introduce the children to the health benefits of new fruits and vegetables and the basics of growing food and its connection to the natural world. We have a variety of times and commitments available:

Weekly Gardener would come in the afternoon Monday, Wednesday, or Friday every week to water, weed when needed, and harvest the bountiful fruits and vegetables grown.
