    Description

Amref Health Africa Associate Board of Directors

The Amref USA Associate Board of Directors (ABD) is a dynamic community of emerging leaders and engaged professionals who partner with Amref USA staff and the Board of Directors to advance the mission of Amref Health Africa, Africa's largest Africa-led health organization.

Associate Board members play an active role in expanding Amref's community of supporters through fundraising, networking, volunteer leadership, and increasing awareness of our work. Throughout the year, members collaborate on creative fundraising initiatives, represent Amref within their personal and professional networks, and help introduce new audiences to the organization's lifesaving mission.

A cornerstone of the Associate Board experience is the planning and execution of The Summer Edit, our signature annual fundraising gala. Produced by the Associate Board, The Summer Edit brings together hundreds of young professionals, creatives, philanthropists, and community leaders for an evening celebrating African culture, food, music, art, and global impact while raising critical funds for Amref's programs across Africa. From securing sponsorships and auction packages to selling tickets, promoting the event, cultivating partnerships, and serving on planning committees, Associate Board members are instrumental in bringing this flagship event to life.

Serving on the Associate Board is an opportunity to develop leadership skills, expand your professional network, make meaningful connections with like-minded changemakers, and create tangible impact through one of New York City's most exciting purpose-driven fundraising events.
