    Description

    Hospice Volunteer – Companionship Role

We are seeking compassionate and reliable volunteers to provide companionship and emotional support to individuals receiving hospice care. This is a meaningful opportunity to make a direct impact in someone’s life by offering presence, comfort, and human connection during a deeply important time.

    What You’ll Do:

    • Spend quality time with patients through conversation, reading, listening to music, or simply sitting together
    • Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and, at times, their families
    • Offer a calming and reassuring presence
    • Assist in reducing feelings of loneliness and isolation

    What We’re Looking For:

    • Kind, empathetic, and patient individuals
    • Strong listening skills and a compassionate nature
    • Reliability and respect for patient confidentiality
    • No medical experience required—just a willingness to be present and supportive

    Requirements:

    • Must be 18 years of age or older
    • Provide proof of a negative TB test
    • Valid driver’s license required
    • Proof of auto insurance required if driving to patient homes

    Why Volunteer With Us:

    • Make a meaningful difference in someone’s life
    • Receive training and ongoing support
    • Flexible scheduling options
    • Gain valuable experience in healthcare and end-of-life care

Your presence matters. Even a small amount of time can bring comfort, dignity, and connection to someone in need.

Join us in providing care that goes beyond medicine—care that truly comes from the heart.
