    Role Summary

We are looking for a Grant Writer (Short Grants) to support EduFilm in securing small to medium-sized grants that fund equipment, training programs, youth film labs, and community outreach. You will help identify grant opportunities, prepare short grant applications (1–5 pages), and assist in drafting simple funding proposals.

This is an excellent role for someone who enjoys writing, nonprofit development, or wants experience in grant writing with an impactful grassroots organization.

    Responsibilities

    • Research small/rapid-response/low-barrier grant opportunities
    • Draft short grant proposals (1–5 pages) for equipment, training, or program support
    • Prepare simple budgets where needed
    • Support application submissions and follow-up documents
    • Work closely with EduFilm’s founder and creative team to refine content
    • Maintain a simple grants tracker

    Qualifications

    • Strong writing and communication skills
    • Ability to simplify information clearly and concisely
    • Interest in education, filmmaking, youth empowerment, or nonprofit development
    • Experience with grant writing is a bonus, but not required
    • Organized, reliable, and able to meet short deadlines
    • Self-motivated and comfortable working remotely

    What You’ll Gain

    • Practical experience in nonprofit grant writing
    • Opportunity to contribute to real education and youth empowerment initiatives
    • Work with a creative, mission-driven team
    • Letter of recommendation upon successful completion
    • Exposure to program design, budgeting, and project development
    All fields are required
