    Role Overview

We are seeking a Voice Over Audio Engineer to support the recording, processing, and quality control of voice-based audio content.

This role focuses on ensuring that voice recordings—across podcasts, narration, and creative projects—are clear, balanced, and professionally produced.

    Key Responsibilities

    Voice Recording Support

    • Support setup and guidance for voice recording sessions (remote or recorded submissions)
    • Ensure audio input quality, levels, and recording standards are met
    • Provide feedback to voice actors on recording setup and quality

    Audio Engineering & Processing

    • Clean, edit, and process voice recordings (noise reduction, EQ, compression)
    • Ensure clarity, consistency, and professional sound quality
    • Balance voice audio across different speakers and recordings

    Quality Control

    • Review recordings for technical issues (background noise, distortion, uneven levels)
    • Ensure all voice content meets production standards before release
    • Maintain consistency across episodes and projects

    Collaboration & Workflow

    • Work closely with voice actors, producers, and editors
    • Support integration of voice audio into podcast episodes and media projects
    • Coordinate with the production team on timelines and deliverables

    Systems & Standards

    • Help establish audio standards for voice recording and delivery
    • Maintain organized audio files and documentation
    • Support workflow improvements for audio production

    Communication & Responsiveness

    • Maintain timely, professional communication via Google Workspace
    • Collaborate effectively across remote teams

    Qualifications

    Required

    • Experience with audio editing and sound processing tools (e.g., Audacity, Adobe Audition, Logic, Pro Tools, or similar)
    • Understanding of audio fundamentals (EQ, compression, noise reduction)
    • Strong attention to detail and sound quality
    • Ability to work with voice recordings and spoken-word content
    • Alignment with MAP’s mission and dignity-centered values

    Preferred

    • Experience working with podcasts, voice-over, or narration
    • Experience supporting remote recording workflows
    • Familiarity with audio file management and production pipelines
    • Interest in storytelling, media, or sound design

    Commitment

    • Volunteer role
    • Approximately 5–10 hours per week
    • Minimum 6-month commitment required
    • Fully remote

    What You’ll Gain

    • Experience working on real-world audio and voice production
    • Opportunity to shape the sound quality of mission-driven storytelling
    • Collaboration with voice actors, producers, and creative teams
    • Portfolio development with published audio content
    • Professional references and letters of recommendation
