Description
Volunteer Opportunity – Weekly Food Rescue
Share My Meals is seeking volunteers to help recover surplus meals and deliver them to those in need. Each week, volunteers pick up food from a professional kitchen (e.g. a corporate campus, hospital, or university kitchen) in Lakewood and deliver it to a nonprofit in Lakewood (~20-minute drive), including a quick stop to collect empty containers from the nonprofit before pickup.
Volunteers must be 18+, have a valid driver’s license, a personal vehicle with insurance, and a smartphone for the tracking app.
Training and insulated bags are provided.
