Volunteer Role: Companion Volunteer
We are seeking a caring and dependable volunteer to provide companionship and meaningful social engagement for an older adult living in a memory care setting.
This participant enjoys sharing stories about past professional experiences, discussing fashion, and talking about family and life experiences. A volunteer who enjoys conversation, listening, and building supportive connections would be an excellent fit.
Volunteer Activities May Include:
- Engaging in friendly conversation and active listening
- Reminiscing and sharing stories
- Discussing topics of interest such as fashion, family, and life experiences
- Providing consistent companionship and social connection
- Supporting emotional well-being through regular visits
Volunteer Qualifications:
- Friendly, patient, and compassionate
- Comfortable interacting with older adults experiencing memory loss or cognitive changes
- Reliable and able to maintain regular visit schedules
- Complete Providence volunteer onboarding and training requirements
