Description
GMHC needs volunteer support in our Food Pantry Distribution Program. Please review the details below and let me know if you are interested.
This volunteer role will mostly help pack bags for clients who come to the food pantry. Additionally, the volunteer will help with breaking down boxes, bringing inventory from the storage room to the pantry room, and other general support for the food pantry.
- Weekly or Every Other Week on Tuesday or Thursday - We need 1 volunteer for each day.
- 11:00am-2:00pm
- 3-4-month minimum commitment.
Prior to being confirmed, the following steps will need to be completed:
- Attend a zoom GMHC volunteer orientation.
- Complete the volunteer application and pledge of confidentiality.
- Complete a background check. This does require providing your SSN to the online background check system.
All positions will take place onsite at 307 West 38th Street between 8th and 9th Avenue.
This opportunity is for folks 18+ years old.
