    Description

Hello. We’re Purpose Circle: a small, impact-first organization with humble beginnings and bold intentions. We help people find their purpose and maximize their impact, and we work side by side with people and organizations to turn their impact ideas into realities. Almost everything we do, we do with volunteers: mentors, illustrators (we’re recruiting two right now), people lending a hand on projects. The one thing we don’t have is someone whose job is to look after them.

    That’s where you come in.

    Who we’re looking for

One Volunteer Coordinator. You don’t need to be an HR professional, and we don’t want your CV. We want someone who likes people more than spreadsheets but can live with a spreadsheet, who believes in what we do, shares our values, and brings optimism and good vibes with you. You’ll need to be comfortable in English; Spanish is a big plus, because half of us think in it. And one thing we do ask for, because other volunteers will count on you: reliability. If you say Tuesday, it’s Tuesday. That’s the whole list. Well, we hope you have coordinated volunteers in the past :-)

    The practical bits

    • Around 4–6 hours a week.
    • Remote, wherever you are. The closer you are to Central European Time the better.
    • In case you wonder we are using Google Workspace
    • This is a volunteer role, so there’s no salary. There is everything else below.

    What you’d actually do

First, together with us, you’d build the volunteer experience we don’t have yet: how people join, what we ask of them, what they get back, how we say thank you. Then, on an ongoing basis, you’d be the person our volunteers know by name: welcome newcomers, match people to projects, keep track of who’s doing what, check in, chase us when we forget to thank someone, and help us find the next volunteers (posts like this one included).

    What you get from us

Flexibility: we’ll follow your availability, as long as nobody is left waiting for an answer. Public recognition: your own profile on our site, like every other volunteer, and your name on the program you build. A real role for your CV, with a reference from us that says exactly what you did. Help with your career, as much as a small team can give: if you’re starting out in the impact world, our mentoring program is open to you from day one; if you’re further along, we’ll find other ways to help. And direct access to the founders and the Board, for better or worse.

    Please fill out this form

    Instructions:

Tell us, in 200 words or fewer, about the best and the worst volunteer experience you’ve ever had (as a volunteer, not as a boss), and what you’d keep and change from each. That’s it. No CV, no formal cover letter. If you’ve never volunteered, tell us instead about a group of people you looked after: a team, a class, a trip, a family WhatsApp group that somehow survived.

Opportunities are created, not waited for. Consider this one created. We look forward to connecting with you.
