    Waiver must be signed by all volunteers. Parent / Guardian signature required for volunteers under age 18. Volunteers under 14 must be supervised by an adult. Ability to lift and bend, carry 5-20 pounds for some assignments.

    09/26/26 One Morning. Meaningful Impact. Volunteer at Walk to End Alzheimer's - Fox Valley

    EVENT DAY VOLUNTEERS WANTED!

    Join us on Saturday, September 26, 2026 for the Fox Valley Walk to End Alzheimer's taking place at Pottawatomie Park in St. Charles, part of the world's largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer's care, support, and research.

    Whether you can volunteer for a few hours or the entire morning, your support helps create a meaningful and memorable experience for individuals and families impacted by Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia.

    Community service hours are available and can be signed off for school requirements.

    Current Priority Needs

    📦 Event Set-Up & Clean-Up

    • Help unload/load materials
    • Set up or tear down tents, tables, signage, and activity areas
    • Great for individuals and groups willing to lend a hand behind the scenes

    🎉 Start/Finish Line Cheer Brigade

    • Welcome walkers and celebrate participants throughout the event
    • Use signs, pom-poms, noisemakers, and words of encouragement
    • Perfect for enthusiastic individuals, families, clubs, and teams

    🚶 Route Guides

    • Direct participants along the walk route
    • Help ensure a safe and easy-to-follow course
    • Provide encouragement along the way

    Specialty Talents Welcome

    • Musicians
    • Dance or cheer teams
    • Photographers/Videographers (must provide equipment)
    • Face painters
    • Balloon artists
    • Mascots/performers
    • Other entertainment that helps create a fun and engaging Walk Day experience

    Volunteer assignments may vary based on event needs, and we appreciate flexibility as we work together to create an outstanding experience for our community.

    No experience is necessary. Individuals, families, student organizations, corporate groups, clubs, and community organizations are welcome.

    Together, we can create hope and support for those facing Alzheimer's and all other dementia.
