    Description

    We are currently seeking Pet Therapy Volunteers to join our compassionate hospice team. As a volunteer, you and your certified therapy dog (or approved animal) will visit patients in their care facilities to provide comfort and bring moments of peace and joy during a difficult time.

    What You'll Do:

    • Visit hospice patients with your certified therapy animal.
    • Offer emotional support and companionship through gentle interaction.
    • Work closely with our volunteer coordinator to schedule visits that work for you.

    Requirements:

    • Certified therapy animal ( Current ceritifcation required)
    • Compassionate, dependable and respectful demeanor
    • Willigness to undergo backround check, fingerprinting and TB screening ( required by hospice regulations)
    • Willigness to undergo hospice volunteer orientation and training.
